Overview
Leaders know how to manage organizational politics. They take initiative and ethically navigate through political dynamics, often behind the scenes. This highly interactive session identifies political styles and shows how to map the political terrain. Participants will learn proven tools and tactics for influencing both upward and across the organization.
While most are wary, leaders know how to manage organizational politics. This seminar vividly brings to life power, politics, and influence without authority, both upward and across the organization. We will debunk the stereotype of politics as emerging from an unethical manipulative underworld. Those who are frustrated and jaded by organizational politics will learn to overcome cynicism and feelings of victimization. Participants will learn to diagnose political styles and map political terrains. Principles such as “the 51% guide,” “agenda linking” and “credibility pathing” will help participants navigate political dynamics, demonstrate ethical leadership, and further career success.
