In spite of this age of unprecedented access and opportunity for women in the workplace, women still lag far behind men in positions of power and leadership. This course will help women leaders and emerging leaders identify necessary tools for leadership, hone communication and negotiation skills, understand the role of emotional intelligence and cultural competence in achieving success, and harness the power of networking. This course will help identify common mistakes that impede influence and advancement. Participants will assess their current leadership skills and gain tools to enhance and solidify their position as an undeniable leader.

Dr. Debbye Turner Bell is a broadcast journalist, speaker, author, veterinarian and consultant. Her latest book is titled, Courageous Faith: A Lifelong Pursuit of Faith Over Fear.

For more than two decades, Dr. Turner Bell has addressed millions of people in audiences from the corporate, academic, and community service arenas. She has enjoyed a long career in broadcast journalism serving for 11 years as a staff correspondent for CBS News. She was also the Early Show's resident veterinarian and garnered an interview with President and Mrs. Bush at the White House, produced a vast body of work for CBS Sunday Morning, among other assignments, and is still an expert contributor to Animal Planet.

Dr. Turner Bell divides her time between speaking and teaching as well as serving on local, state and national boards. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Arkansas State University.
