SAVING FACE: HOW LEADERS PRESERVE DIGNITY AND BUILD TRUST IN THE WORKPLACE

Face is the new social currency of our time. The concept of face is essential in human relations and leadership. Face represents one's self-worth, identity, reputation, status, pride, and dignity. "Saving face" is a universal concept that enables you to connect with people, break down barriers, and build trust and long-term relationships.

Participants will learn the concept of honoring, losing, and saving face so they can build authentic relationships and creating a culture of psychological safety for their teams.

In this session, you will learn:

  • What does it mean to apply the concept of face at work, and why is losing face such a bad thing?
  • How do you build up the "face account" and avoid the risk of "over draft"?
  • How can leaders embrace face to forge stronger, authentic partnerships with clients and colleagues across cultural, generational, and gender differences?
