He earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia (2016), an Executive MBA from Rockhurst University (2011), and a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communications and Community Recreation from Southwest Baptist University (1998), where he graduated with honors. While at Southwest Baptist, he served as President of Pi Kappa Delta, won a national speech and debate championship, and led as an intramural director.
